Our work goes far beyond responding to emergencies. We’re an active part of the community year-round, hosting and participating in events that bring people together, promote safety, and raise the funds needed to keep our department running strong.
Fundraisers That Make a Difference
We hold two major annual fundraisers that our community looks forward to every year: our Mother’s Day Chicken BBQ, serving up delicious meals with a side of hometown spirit, and our October Gun Raffle, where participants have 31 chances to win exciting prizes like firearms and cash. We also run special raffles, such as our Buffalo Bills Season Ticket Raffle, offering unforgettable prizes while giving everyone a chance to get involved.
Parades & Public Appearances
You’ll see us proudly marching in local parades, from Memorial Day to holiday celebrations, showing our community pride and giving residents the chance to meet the firefighters who serve them. We also participate in community festivals and events throughout the year, often with trucks and gear on display for all ages to enjoy.
Open Houses & Community Outreach
Our open houses offer a behind-the-scenes look at the fire hall, giving families the chance to meet our volunteers, explore the fire trucks, and learn about fire safety. We’ve also hosted car shows, safety demonstrations, and educational events designed to help people protect themselves and their property.
Why We Do It
Whether it’s flipping chicken on the grill, walking in a parade, or showing kids how to use a fire extinguisher, our events are all about building strong connections with the people we serve. Every ticket purchased, every handshake, and every conversation helps us keep our mission alive—protecting lives and property in Crittenden and the surrounding area.
